The creative role of a performer in contemporary music as an intermediary between instrument, composer and audience is topic of the PhD-research of Barbara Lüneburg at Brunel University London.

Momentarily I have prepared three lectures, which in one way or other deal with this topic:

Performance and Creativity- Group Genius versus the Lonely Hero
(for composers and performers)
Charisma and Stage Presence
(for performers )
Flageolets - How to play, notate and apply them in compositions
(for composers and performers)

Contemporary Music as a Playground for Composers and Interpreters

offers challenges, fun, variety and extremes, a possibility for composers and interpreters to exchange perspectives, questions and inspiration. Additionally it includes opportunities for co-composing and improvising.

New Literature for Violin and Viola

Chamber Music and Improvisation

Barbara Lüneburg's workshops highlight the varieties, possibilities and challenges within contemporary music, and illustrate the communication between composer, interpreter and audience.
